Minute Steak Mixed Mushrooms

Preparation time:20 minutes
Marinating time:30 minutes


  • 4x 100-150 gram sirloin steaks, excess fat trimmed off
  • 150ml Chang’s Hoisin Sauce
  • 4 tbsp. neutral oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 spring onion, finely sliced
  • 200g mixed Asian mushrooms, all cut into bite sized pieces


  1. Begin by marinating the steaks in 100ml of the Chang’s Hoisin for 30 minutes.Remove the meat from the marinade.
  2. Heat a grill plate, BBQ or large frying pan, and brush with half the oil. Quickly grill the steak on both sides to your preferred level of doneness, turning only once.
  3. Rest meat for a few minutes on a plate and loosely cover with foil or a clean tea towel during the preparation of the mushrooms.
  4. Heat a wok, or large frying pan, and add the oil. When hot, add the mushrooms, garlic and spring onion, tossing only occasionally so the mushrooms brown. When nearly cooked, add the remaining Chang’s Hoisin Sauce and toss to coat.
  5. Serve the steaks with a generous spoonful of the mushrooms and some Chang’s Original Fried Noodles, Wok Ready Gluten Free or Super Lo Cal Noodles twirled around a fork.
