Hoisin Pork and Pumpkin Bake

  • 600g pork belly, diced 2cm thick
  • 800g pumpkin, peeled and diced 3cm thick
  • 10 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 400ml Chinese Shaoxing Wine OR 250ml sweet red wine
  • 2 tbs Chang's Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 tbs Chang's Soy Sauce Dark
  • 2 tsp cooking oil
  • Sea salt and Pepper
  • Fresh coriander


  1. Preheat the oven 130C fan forced.
  2. Place pork in lined baking tray and pour over choice of wine, Chang's Hoisin Sauce, Chang's Soy Sauce Dark, cooking oil and crushed garlic. Combine well.
  3. Add pumpkin to tray. Season pork and pumpkin with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
  4. Place in oven. Check after an hour and turn baking tray around to evenly brown.
  5. Sprinkle sliced green onions and coriander leaves. Serve immediately.

Optional to serve with steamed rice.
