San Choy Bow

Preparation time:15 minutes


  • 1 tbsp. neutral oil
  • 200g beef mince
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped spring onions
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped bamboo shoots
  • 6 green beans cut in 5mm pieces
  • 2 tbsp. Chang’s Oyster Sauce
  • 4 iceberg lettuce leaves, trimmed into a circular bowl shape-refrigerated


  1. Prepare and heat oil in a wok. Add the beef, garlic and onion, cooking until the beef turns grey and the onion softens, stirring frequently.
  2. Add the beans and bamboo shoots and stir for 30 seconds before adding the Chang’s Oyster Sauce and simmering for one minute.
  3. Allow to cool slightly and spoon into chilled lettuce cups
